REGISTER FOR CLASSES
You’re just a few steps away from building your class schedule. Before you register, make sure you’ve completed the items below.
Complete your enrollment checklist by July 30.
Register for Fall classes by August 10.
A late registration fee applies after August 10.

Step 1. Have You Been Admitted?
You must be admitted before you can register for classes. If you haven’t applied yet, start here.
Step 2. Complete Your Enrollment Checklist
Before registering, make sure you’ve completed:
Step 3. Meet with an Advisor (If Needed)
Meet with your assigned academic advisor to discuss:
- First semester courses
- Degree planning
- Transfer pathways
- Program changes
Tip: Many students can register without an advising appointment. If you’re unsure, check with your assigned advisor first.
Step 4. Register for Classes
Once you’re eligible, register online through the River Portal.
Remember: Adding classes to your cart does not reserve your seat. You must click Submit to complete your registration.
Step 5. Check Your Balance
Registering for classes creates a financial obligation.
After registering:
- Review your account balance
- Review Financial Aid
- Make payment arrangements if necessary
Even if you receive Financial Aid or The Promise Program, you may still owe fees or other charges.
